ABOUT SCAP
ABOUT SCAP
The Sunshine Coast Art Prize (SCAP) is a national contemporary 2D acquisitive art prize presented by the Sunshine Coast Council
and principal partner Friends Regional Gallery Caloundra Inc. Now in its sixth year, SCAP has once again attracted the best contemporary and emerging artists Australia has to offer, with the winner receiving $15,000 plus a four-week placement valued at $5,000 as artist-in-residence at Arley Farm, Maleny, in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. The winning artwork will be added to the Sunshine Coast Council Collection. The Highly Commended Prize will go to the runner-up, consisting of a promotional package to the value of $3,545, sponsored by 3E Innovative
. The People’s Choice Prize of $2,500, provided by Frank & Dixon , is for the artist who garners the most votes from visitors to the gallery.
SCAP FOR SALE
The SCAP exhibition provides a valuable opportunity for art collectors to view and purchase artworks by leading and emerging Australian artists. From the value of each work sold from the exhibition, 25 percent will be provided to the Friends Regional Gallery Caloundra Inc. in support of the gallery.
